Students are required to do at least two rotations at the regulated timeframes below. An additional rotation opportunity will be available if the student is not able to joining a lab for research at the end of second rotation. Missing deadlines for joining rotations or form submissions will lead to 1/3 of monthly stipend deducted till the student starts the rotation.

First rotation: 1 October-31 December

Second rotation: 15 January-15 April

Third rotation (1 May-15 July) is available for those who can't fix the lab by the end of second rotation.

Required Course. Each section must be at least 2 months in length and must be carried out with different professors. For more information, please refer to Lab Rotation Guidelines.

Please submit the Lab Rotation Confirmation for the first rotation to the CBMB office before 9/25. The documents below should be sent to the CBMB office before 10/15.

  1. Lab Rotation Confirmation for 3 Rotations
  2. Lab Rotation Confirmation: the second rotation is necessary. The third rotation is optional.

After each rotation, please submit the Lab Rotation Report and Evaluation Form to the CBMB office.

Required course for NTU IBS, DGP, NTHU, and NTHU LS.
NTHU CHEM students please select Seminar II instead.

Thursdays: 10:20-12:10

National Taiwan University, College of Medicine, BASIC MEDICAL BLDG. 11F, ROOM NO.1105

Coordinator: Dr. Wan-Wan Lin

This course will provide the most updated information of new drug development in some research fields and human diseases, and to cultivate students who would like to devote themselves to academic institutes or pharmaceutical industry in the future. We provide brief but fundamental knowledge in the pathogenesis of human diseases, and identify novel therapeutic targets which are actively explored by pharmaceutical industry to develop potential therapeutic agents either in the pre-clinical stage or under clinical trials. The pharmacology, toxicology and unmet medical needs of these drugs would be discussed. We would also provide TFDA Regulations and Guidance for Investigational New Drug (IND) and New Drug Application (NDA).
